Empty backfield, Crowell et al suspended

The rumblings I was hearing were true, but worse than I feared.
Now we have Brandon Harton who did pretty well in the Spring, and...Wes Van Dyk....12 (twelve) total carries between them.

So bring your jerseys Saturday, but leave the sharpies behind. You'll need to wear them.

Bonus thought
Hopefully Brandon Harton and Wes Van Dyk can summon their inner Jeremy Sulek, who held down the MLB position during injuries earlier this season. Walk ons can GATA too you know!

Looks like Coach Richt used the Urban Meyer method of suspensions so that the boys could be in the backfield against the Fightin' Gators.

Worse than you feared? I guess I'm missing why this is such a huge deal. It's just one game vs New Mexico St. B Smith, a fullback or a walk-on will run it and we'll still win.

My worse fear was that he'd sit out Flariduh through Auburn. I'll take this scenario & be grateful.

Three players suspended. When is that not a huge deal? I couldn't care less about the opponent. It's worse than I feared because it turned out it was more than one-fifth of our backfield. It was three-fifths.

Yep. Along with many other programs across the nation, it's the way things go.

First, easy tiger. Second, good grief that's a tad dramatic. The suspension of Boo Malcombe & Carlton Thomas has nobody with an ounce of good sense shaking in their boots.

Like I said, B Smith or someone else will run it enough to get a win. UGA football  isn't coming to an end. Georgia will win and they'll be back for Auburn. That's all that matters. But by all means, fret about it.

Losing Samuel for 4 weeks, or an Isaiah suspension that included Auburn is a worse case scenario. This outcome certainly isn't.

If AllState sponsors the field goal net, maybe we can get Doritos to sponsor the end zone.

I hope Harton and VanDyk have a field day...this latent predjudice against walk-ons is senseless.  How many guys would put up with the practices with no or little hope of ever playing?  It's that spirit and loyalty that we need in all the players but it shows up in the walk-ons.  Best of luck to all of them and I hope they all get in the game!! Go Dawgs, GATA!!!!

I think LSU has them under contract already.

I hope Harton goes for a 100. We always have walkons who are ready to play and Saturday will be no different.

Bernie, do you embed tweets or do a screen capture and then post as an image? I can't figure out how to embed in Blogger. I feel like an old dude who can't figure shit out. Oh... umm... damn!

I capture them and then upload the image. I used to use a program called HyperSnap. My new laptop came with something called "Snipping Tool" (insert Tebow joke here) and that's even easier to use.
