I'm sure John Brantley will be ready before the game against
Georgia. That's just how our luck goes in Jacksonville.
That's exactly the mindset that gets us in trouble. Instead we should be saying things like:
I don't give a shit who plays quarterback and I don't care
who their coach is. We just need to win damnit!
Just my two cents. We need to keep our head straight. It's been crooked for the better part of 21 years. We used to just go down there, remind them we are Georgia and put another win in the column for the good guys.

You are 100% correct!
Unless you are reading those comments are coming from players or coaches, there is no relevance. After losing 18 of 21, the fans should be disillusioned and expecting the worst at this point. Of course, we are all hoping for the best. I continue to make the trip down there and we cheer just as hard as the UF fans. The players and coaches need to turn this around soon or they are going to need to start paying UGA fans to show up and subject ourselves to the UF morons.
The best thing about Jarvis Jones, Jenkins, Crowell, Mitchell, Herrera etc is that none of them have ever lost to the Gators. They will have the teams mentality right and the Dawgs will win.
I hope Brantley plays. I want them at full strength so they will have no excuses after they lose to our Dawgs Saturday. 'Nough said!

I think, more than anything else, our state of mind has been the primary problem ever since the days of Spurrier. For Florida, Georgia is a game, a big game yes, but nowhere near being their biggest game of the season. There are other teams they want to beat a whole lot more than Georgia. As such, they can approach the game as simply next weeks game. When I was in school in Athens and Dooley was roaming the sidelines, this was the attitude Georgia had as well. Big game? Yes. Biggest game of the season? No. We had bigger fish to fry. We were confident that we could go to Jacksonville and get a 'W.' We didn't really even talk about the game until the week it happened. And then it was mostly about how to get out of town early without getting in too much trouble with your professors. Nowadays, we are so focused on THIS game and THIS game so defines our season that mentally, we are basket cases before it ever gets started. I believe it shows on the field.
