Ball's back in the SEC court.Texas A&M is expected announce that it will leave the Big 12 within the next week.A person with knowledge of what was discussed during a conference call of the Big 12 board of directors Saturday told The Associated Press that Texas A&M officials gave every indication they were planning to leave the conference.That person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the talks, says the only thing that could prevent the Aggies from making public their intentions to leave as early as next week would be if SEC officials decide they are not ready to add another team.Texas A&M has publicly expressed its interest in joining the SEC.Among items discussed during the Big 12 call Saturday was how much money Texas A&M would forfeit for leaving the conference.
