A few thoughts on the loss:
- I don't care what Kellogg is putting in your bowl, we didn't control the tempo much at all. We tried, but succeeded very little.
- And that's mostly because Washington was very quick. Their energy level seemed boundless but they were also methodically pressing the ball from all four corners.
- If the Huskies had shot the ball any better in the first half we probably would've been run out of the gym.
- For much of the second half, it was those other dogs that played like the higher seed that they were and as if they knew what tourney play requires. Our Dawgs just held on by a thread.
- And although Washington's frenetic style helped us stay in it at times, Coach Fox's squad refused to give up. But the rally fell one basket short.
Go Dawgs!

My hubs did a lot of intel on the Huskies so by Friday before we walked into TWC Arena, i was pretty convinced we weren't gonna win. That eased the sigh of disappointment. It was great to see us get punched in the mouth & fight like hell to win, just wish our bench would've helped us out.
I don't know what to think of Fox yet. To have so much talent & get so little from them, especially down the stretch of the season is cause for concern. On the other hand, we're a far different team than we were just 2 years ago. Gotta be happy about that.
Strangely enough what disappointed me far more than getting bounced in the 1st round was how absolutely boring & dreadful the Redcoats were. Good. God. They. SUCKED. Washington brought far more fans & a hell of a better band than we did. That was beyond embarrassing. As a Huskey fan commented to my hubs & i "isn't Georgia just down the road from here?" Ugh. Also, i'm just gonna say it-our cheerleaders are FAT. Disgustingly FAT. Embarrassingly FAT. What the crap? We have historically always had the most gorgeous ladies below the mason Dixon as Georgia Girls, Cheerleaders & on Dance Team. The squad that appeared in Charlotte looked like they'd been binge eating for the last 6 weeks. The treadmill is your friend ladies, cellulite is NOT. Somebody needs to get CMR's new nutritionist to have a word of prayer with our Cheerleading Coaches stat.
Trey & Travis will be gone next season. Hopefully Fox will have an answer for that void. All in all, it was great to see the Dawgs in the tourney; Redcoats & Cheerleaders....not so much.
Go Dawgs!
