Sunday's ugly truth

Too tired to collect my thoughts after last night's nightmare. Ready to get home and hug my kids. But before I hit the road, I will leave you with this...

When you find the very bottom of your disappointment, it can get pretty ugly. And I know the coming days aren't going to be pretty. But hearing that Christian Robinson came home to this mess really rubs me the wrong way.

Give credit to the team that beat you, without turning on your own. It's a skill that some fans will never understand. But I hope my readers do.

Once a Dawg, always a Dawg.

I think what bugs me the most about our team is when I look at South Carolina before Spurrier got there you couldn't give tickets away to their games, and now they are a powerhouse. That's 100% coaching. Period. We are an example and have been that just bringing in top recruits doesn't turn you into a NC team. From the looks of it, USc is a #1 or #2 team. I've always been a staunch supporter of CMR, but at some point I've got to face that fact that Spurrier has come in and taken a team that was living at the bottom and has brought them to prominence which is something CMR has yet to do. I love the Dawgs, and I love winning, but the Outback Bowl is going to continue to cut it every year. Eventually, the top recruits are going to stop wanting to come to UGA because we continue to be Moses overlooking the promised land, but we are never allowed to enter. I really do like Aaron Murray, and he could use some help with the play calling and receivers not dropping passes, but when he has chances he has to hit the guy in stride. Where were Richard Samuel and Boo last night? Wouldn't they have been a pretty good option to help block the two beasts on the edges of Carolina's D line or even to punch in that TD at the end of the first half when we had four tries inside the 5? Frustrated but Kentucky better be ready. I have a feeling these Dawgs are gonna be on the warpath.

Agreed 100% Bernie. My heart goes out to CRob, I can't imagine how he feels right now, but I know it ain't good.
I don't comment on blogs, I've seen how nasty things can get, but Im making an exception and putting in my two cents because this really hit home for me. And here's why.
I didn't graduate from UGA, God had other financially feasible plans for me back then. I don't have the opportunity to attend games regularly. In fact, it had been so long since I'd been to a game that Bernie Dawg had to help me navigate Athens on G Day (thanks again for that). There are some Twitter Dawgs who look down on, mock and are dismissive of people like me. In their eyes if a person isn't an alumni, a season ticket holder or a booster they aren't a true fan. I'm not going to argue opinions...to each his own and think of me what you will, it matters not. I will continue to support the University of Georgia the best way that I can for as long as I live. And for the record, I am a donor. I don't brag or boast about it or demand something in return for it. I do it because I love the University of Georgia, I respect the G and because I will always bleed Red N Black.
With that being said, I consider myself a true fan. To me, a true fan is someone who never turns on their own. I will never turn on my own...
