According to Gainesville police, Jenkins was spotted sitting in a car early Saturday morning smoking what an officer later found to be a marijuana cigar. He's scheduled to appear in court on May 12.I guess it's also safe to say that Muschamp's internal discipline is akin to most of the parenting I see in my local WalMart - maybe loud and somewhat disruptive, but largely unsuccessful and easily forgotten.
Back on Jan. 22, Jenkins was hit with the same charge, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, after Gainesville police officers said they found Jenkins in the bathroom of a nightclub rolling a marijuana cigarette. He accepted a plea deal on that charge.
This is Jenkins' third run-in with the law during his time at Florida. He was arrested and tasered in May 2009 after fighting with five other people despite an officer ordering him to stop. He signed a deferred prosecution agreement, agreeing to probation and community service.
It's obvious that Jenkins has a history of finding trouble off the field. It's just as obvious that he doesn't have one ounce of respect for the "Florida Way" if he was truly sitting in his car in a public parking lot puffing on a blunt a month removed from accepting a plea deal for another marijuana charge.
Muschamp said Jenkins' punishment would be handled internally following the January incident.
My prediction is that Jenkins is back in time to intercept a couple Tyler Bray passes on September 17th. Your move Will...prove me wrong.

I dont think I need to comment very much. You said it VERY WELL. So this is the SECOND time in THIS year, and its only April??
and the THIRD time he has been arrested? He will still be on the team, according to the policies at South Carolina, hes only HALF WAY out of chances. Wow. I am with you.. PROVE you are serious Muschamp... SHOW US!!! I dont think he will.
I suspect Muschamp will simply follow UF's drug policy (http://is.gd/8otOBN) & suspend Janoris for 20% of this season's games for his 3rd offense.
Thanks for the link to the drug policies. I bet it ends up being only 10% though. My guess is they don't lump that first arrest WAY BACK IN 2009 into the decision for two reasons: 1) the arrest didn't involve drugs (that we know of) and 2) he's been such a model 'turd since that time (2 arrests and 5 interceptions).
You think the Gators are perturbed that Auburn is ahead in Fulmer Cup standings and are trying to remediate that fact?
What worries me is this: What if suddenly Florida sobers up? Hell, we can't beat 'em when they're stoned...

Anon-The problem lies in the safety of the opposing players, like if a stoned player would try to gough another player's eyes. But I guess the odds of that would be pretty slim, eh?
