Congrats to @allyugadawg, @alanashley and @TNRLM for answering correctly...Which two Dawg defenders returned fumbles for TDs in the 2000 O'ahu Bowl? They all knew it was Kentrell Curry and Cap Burnett.

Which means they get to share what's left of the Bernie Fruitcake and two and a half ladles each of egg nog. Don't consume it all under the tree tweeps. And....

Locker Notes - Texas A&M Aggies

While we file into church pews this evening, enjoy the company of our friends and family, and impatiently await a visit from a jolly old elf...the Dawgs are in Shreveport. And while they are surely lamenting the absence of home, what better way to greet them than with the season's last installment of Locker Notes.

• AJ Green - My Christmas Wish and New Year's Resolution...to see you play in the red and black as much as frickin' possible before you turn some low rent NFL QB into a potential Pro Bowler.
• Ealey/King - Can you run more than one state?
• Rennie Curran - Should this be your last game with us...well, play it as if it were such. You know, with the same violence and determination we've come to know and love.
• Branden Smith - As nice as it would be to see another run like the one against the chickens...it'd be nicer to see a pick six.
• Ben Jones - I hear the Shreveport turf is nearly as tasty as Dodd's. Just sayin'.
• Justin Houston - That Tech game may have been your finest, yet quietest work. We'd be proud if you'd get loud.
• Brandon Boykin - Evidently your pipes work as smoothly as your legs. I think I can speak for the rest of us when I say, feel free to use both when those Aggies kick it in your direction.
• Lastly, Coach Richt - I know we're short-handed...but sure am glad this program's in yours.

He's the AJ Green of the Hardwood

That may be the best way to describe Trey Thompkins. He's a great complement to any basketball team, but has the ability to carry his team when necessary. It wouldn't surprise me at all to discover that at some point in his athletic history he had blocked a potential game winning field goal.

Thompkins has been named the SEC Player of the Week based on the merits of 21 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and one blocked shot in the Saturday night win over Illinois at Gwinnett Arena. As PWD pointed out, it was a huge win for this early in the Mark Fox Era.

The news of being named SEC PotW comes on the heels of the USA U19 Team (that Thompkins averaged 10.6 points for) being named the basketball team of the year.

As big as Thompkins' numbers were at the Gwinnett Arena, it was the four consecutive free throws to ice the game at the end that were the biggest. There's no doubt that this season is going to be a struggle for Fox's Dawgs. But there are signs that this ship is turning around faster than expected.

• When I say I love bowl season, understand that I realize it doesn't produce a true national champion. But would a playoff? I think no. And Senator raises some interesting points.
• The only bigger farce than a working Congress is the BCS.  But until I see a solution that is truly solving something...count me among the traditional fans that really digs bowls.
• AJ Green found something more painful than a sprained shoulder...watching from the sidelines.
• Jimbo Fisher has yet to (officially) coach his first game as the head man. Yet, he already can pay for 180,000 lap dances.
• A USC Trojan under investigation of obtaining extra benefits. Color me shocked!! 
• Will Bob Stoops leave Norman for Big D?
• Great win for Coach Mark Fox's Dawgs Saturday night at Gwinnett Arena against the Fightin' Illini. So great in fact, that Legge wonders if it might end up being his Hobnail Boot.
• It appears as if Clemson's S DeAndre McDaniel is leaning toward returning for his senior season. It is widely believed that Reshad Jones will leave early, especially since he was talked back in the door last year. Currently, Kiper has McDaniel just ahead of Jones on his Top Juniors list.

Sorry Reader. Bernie left it ready to cook and Willard in charge. But you get what you pay for.

Good news Reader...Bernie and family made it to Virginia. It just took much longer than expected. And...he left some partially cooked meatloaf. Willard's supposed to finish the drill before tomorrow's publishing date. But last I checked he was just short of nostril deep in the eggnog bowl at the BDB/Kramerica Christmas Party.

Hopefully he pulls through.
